The beef shanks with red wine and tomatoes have been cooking for 4 hours, 4 more and they'll be ready to eat with fresh italian bread. Hoping that this dish breaks in the slow cooker nicely, or else it may be relegated to above the refrigerator and never let out again. On a successful note, my new Le Creuset pots were the perfect tool for this mornings eggs benedict (the heavy cast iron made poaching the eggs so easy and the heavy skillet browned the canadian bacon nicely). Thanks mom for the thoughtful homemaker-esq Christmas presents.
Piers Morgan's CNN debut is in a few hours...I can't wait to hear about Oprah's love life or lack thereof. Also, I can't wait for his Thursday interview with Ricky Gervais. Ricky was drunk at the Golden Globes, no? Whatever he was drinking made him bitter and darkly entertaining.
Also, I'm hoping to watch My Life as a Dog (1985) sometime soon.
